What got me thinking about this is Britain got talent the other week when we had what was to all intents and purposes a strip tease if from a slightly less attractive woman who was in my opinion resembled a ball bag.
I know that I can usually be trusted to watch every reality show known to woman, but Britain’s Got Talent is one of those ones like x-factor that is much better at the start than the end.
Remember OK if your famous and hot but if not your a slut ! The oh so moral newspapers eh!
I am halfway through watching a series channel 4 did last week on the effects of pornography on secondary school students’ perception of sex. It’s very, very scary stuff although it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to work out the effects of the almost universal access to porn on the internet.
Now the my biggest problem with this programme was the complete lack of impartiality and I felt that they were just making a scare programme about the evils of porn and the usual shit!
Now the guys where asked to pick the “perfect pair of breasts from a line up of 8 or 9 now the big point i noticed is they asked the boys for the most perfect set, not most realistic etc but perfect and you know what tits the boys picked ? Yup the fake ones that were probably the closest to perfect for good reason they were made by a surgeon!
Now the program poured scourn on the boys and society for this were as in fact it was a leading question that channel 4 knew which pair they would pick.
It was a similarly predictable story when the girls were asked, girls felt pressure to have come up to the image and behaviour of female porn stars. Given that the entire porn industry pretty much is targeted at straight men, then a whole generation of boys is being taught that women are there to perform a subjugated rather than an equal role in a sexual relationship.
So what other gems did they come up with ? Well how about this one “Not only that, but the boys who are watching porn will presumably go to work one day. How are they going to respect their female colleagues as equals if they have been brought up to see them as subservient architects of their sexual gratification?” What a load of shit no I know men don’t get a lot of credit from women for their smarts but really only stereotypes and retarded people would actually think that.
When I was a younger, and first got interested in these porn etc. Porn was limited to some dodgy under the counter videos and top shelf magazines and to get anything really explicit you had to go to a sex shop. Now, for most kids, it’s a few clicks away.
Now on top of this check out this article from the guardian the edited version is that reports of rape in the vicinity of lapdancing clubs are up by a third and of indecent assault are up by over 50%.
This obviously has nothing to do with lapdancing clubs being in town centres and the lower reports are not its obviously just coincidence.
